HDR is hiring a Senior Transit Planner to work in our South Florida Transportation Practice. This position can be based in our Fort Lauderdale, Miami or West Palm Beach FL office.

Primary Responsibilities

Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of large multidiscipline transit planning and environmental compliance projectsPrepare, plan and analyze compliance documentsEstablish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, planning and production meetingsDirect work of others in completion of required studies, documents and reportsDemonstrate extensive public participation, agency coordination, planning and programming experienceParticipate in design development and contract document work sessions in conjunction with appropriate technical professionals and other disciplinesCoordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule and within budgetPerform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Planning, Engineering or a related fieldA minimum of 10 years relevant experience with transportation planning and designPossess excellent analytical and communication skillsUnderstanding of transit planning and local, state, and federal programs and principlesPositive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a teamDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and personnelSolid business development skills and demonstrated ability to relate well to clientsDemonstrated presentation skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
