Service Technician
**Job Title: Service Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for refurbishing equipment, ensuring quality assurance, and managing inventory. This role involves frequent travel within the Midwest territory and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing startup company. **Responsibilities** + Disassemble, clean, and inspect equipment to identify any defects or parts that require replacement. + Replace worn-out components and ensure the equipment is reassembled correctly. + Test the functionality of the refurbished equipment to ensure it meets original manufacturing specifications. + Conduct thorough inspections to ensure the refurbished equipment meets the company's quality standards. + Perform QA inspections using standard testing procedures to validate equipment functionality and reliability. + Document any issues found during inspection and rectify them promptly. + Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and components. + Notify the procurement team of any parts that are running low or need to be reordered. + Keep detailed records of all refurbishment processes, including parts replaced, tests conducted, and any issues identified. **Essential Skills** + Experience in equipment maintenance or remanufacturing. + Mechanical, electrical, and hand tool repair skills. + 2 years of troubleshooting experience. + 2 years of hand tools experience. + 1-2 years of working with mechanical systems. + Experience with pumps, regulators, small motors, and flowmeters. + Electrical experience, including troubleshooting with multimeters and wiring. + Proficiency in inventory control, assembly, blueprint reading, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, field service, and schematic wiring. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Familiarity with beverage equipment or similar machinery is a plus. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Proficiency in using tools and equipment relevant to the refurbishment process. + Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (30 lbs), bend, and stand for long periods. **Why Work Here?** Join a rapidly growing startup company that offers a 100% covered benefits package upon conversion (health, vision, dental, etc.). You will be working from your home or car, with parts shipped directly to the client site. The role involves working at smaller restaurants within a 30-mile radius. You will also be required to travel out of state at times, either by driving or air travel, primarily for trade shows and trainings. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
