The Shelf Decommissioning Leadership Role is responsible for the day-to-day management, operation & maintenance of the offshore decommissioning and in charge of the health, safety and welfare of persons on or about the locations in line with the efficient execution of the operational program. They shall ensure that all contractual obligations are satisfied as the company representative. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice, guidelines, industry standards, company policies and procedures applicable to the area of operation. They must have a previous experience as a UWA as well as a familiarity of SIMOPS including production, construction, maintenance and scaffold building. 

 

Responsibilities:

Ensures full compliance with all mandatory procedures and regulations that relate to drilling operations Oversee all drilling and well maintenance activities, including the management of the integrated services contractors and support personnel, to ensure that all operations meet contractual quality and performance criteria. Ensure accurate recording and reporting of all problem events, including accidents/incidents. Examine, review all the requisitions generated by various departments are complete and sufficiently detailed to allow them to be processed without additional onshore input. Authorize requisitions at the appropriate level and oversee management of the warehouse inventory levels so as to ensure compliance of targets. Direct and supervise crews in setting up and operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner. To ensure that pre-spud meetings are conducted and that well related hazards are recognized and managed appropriately by the key personnel. To manage the monitoring of all onboard equipment and systems usage, supervise testing and inspection of critical equipment and systems, and ensure that various limits for operational parameters are maintained / observed. To undertake and organize audits and inspections as per audit and inspection procedures · Manage and address effectively personnel issues affecting their crews, with the appropriate input and advice from the Supervisors and Human Resources department. Utilize, as and when appropriate, the Performance Appraisal Procedure as well as the Disciplinary Procedure for detailing performance issues including; high standards of work, career development and / or sub-standard performance. Provide marine input to projects and turnaround preparation as required. Collaborate with functional support, as required, to highlight potential process safety and operational optimization issues. Have an awareness of performance standards and their relevance to process operations, maintenance and performance requirements. Ensure that maintenance routines and defects are recorded and with the appropriate amount of detail. Complete all planned maintenance (PM) routines to schedule and plan the appropriate procedure. Ensure ad-hoc vendors & visitors adhere to safety standards. · Monitor, reorder and track supply levels of production chemicals, critical spares and materials. Understand and comply with the Management of Change (MoC) process for all procedural, equipment or process changes as needed. Ensure shift and crew-change handovers are accurately recorded in the appropriate log and in compliance Act as member of the emergency response team and comply with the responsibilities assigned as defined in the Emergency Response Plan. Participate in emergency response exercises to ensure a full understanding of the process and procedures. Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

Education and Experience 

High school diploma or equivalent Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Strong health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance record Strong interpersonal skills with experience influencing project teams and contractors Strong teamwork skills with experience in working with engineers and multi-discipline teams 

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of BOEMRE and USCG regulations Experience in working with BOEMRE & USCG inspectors Experience in simultaneous operations involving production, drilling/well maintenance and construction Experience in commissioning and starting up new production facilities or modules Proficiency in maintenance planning system (Maximum preferred), lifesaving systems/equipment, and firefighting equipment/systems Have knowledge with Radar systems
