Shift Leader - Maintenance
Job Description

Work Arrangement:

This role is categorized as onsite. Bedford is a 3 shift operation. The selected candidate could be assigned on any shift.

The Role:

As the Shift Leader, you will oversee a small to medium group of salaried maintenance Group Leaders. You will lead the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with standard GM maintenance systems. You will conduct appropriate checks and tests and communicates evaluation of results.

You will be responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions, recommends solutions to problems, and meets schedule and quality requirements in addition to the following responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements

Implements divisional and corporate policies

Implements safety and good housekeeping practices

Frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group

Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment

Participates in the selection of new employees

Trains, develops, and evaluates employees

Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project

Leads technical guidance for complex and unusual plant operations or projects

Assists in the development of budgets and forecasts within assigned area

Obtains a deep knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles

Proficient in the use of MAXIMO

Develops and Executes sufficiency plans to close gaps in the manufacturing areas OEE targets

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience (full-time)

Experience Managing Represented Employee s 3-5 Years

Experience Managing Safety Practices / Risk 3 - 5 Years

Experience Working in a Manufacturing Setting 3 - 5 Years

Manufacturing Process Experience 3 - 5 Years

Understanding of basic mechanical concepts

Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required.

Knowledge of quality control procedures, manufacturing processes and management systems as they relate to production operations.

High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and

Ability to work any shift
