The shift supervisor work in collaboration with other departments to ensure the clients are safe and engaged and the facility is safe 24/7.
Shift Worked: Varies Weekly Hours: 37.5 FLSA Status: Non Exempt Pay range: $25.65 - $25.65A. POSITION SUMMARY:
Working in concert with the director of operations to ensure that the residential aides provides general assistance to the clients as set by the Department of Homeless Services and the OTDA, among other regulating bodies. The shift supervisor work in collaboration with other departments to ensure the clients are safe and engaged and the facility is safe 24/7.
B. POSITION DUTIES:
· Arrange operations staff schedule for appropriate coverage
· Coordinate schedule for the client’s use of laundry machines
· Conduct staff training and ensure that required licenses are up to date
· Conduct spot checks to ensure that the facility is run following protocols and provide rec-ommendations when appropriate
· Regularly monitors public indoor and outdoor spaces, ensuring a safe environment in
· accordance with CP and DHS standards.
· Ensure the kitchen meet standards as set by the DOHMH
· Coordinate the distribution of linen and collect linen for laundry service in accordance with procedure.
· Ensure that food vendors are delivery meals as set by DOHMH and ensure that food tem-perature is taken and recorded
· Review residential aide’s incident reports and provide training to enhance accuracy
· When appropriate, report priority #1 incident report to SIU and log the report into CARES
· Along with residential associates, conduct monthly room inspection reports and provide recommendations
· Provide refresher training on Naloxone
· Review logbook and provide feedback to residential aides, as well as training at least quar-terly.
· Represent the agency in security meetings
· Conduct staff appraisals in a timely fashion and follow up on corrective plan of action when appropriate.
· Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team,
· Maintain open communication with director of operations
· Interact with clients to promote a friendly supportive but professional atmosphere,
· Attend mandatory in-service annually
· Participate in various committees and/or community and agency meetings as requested
· All other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor or other supervisory staff.
C. Requirements:
· High School Diploma or Equivalency
· Associate’s degree preferred
· At least two years of experience working in congregate setting
· At least two years of experience as a supervisor
· F-80 Required
· HHA/CNA or other Medical training preferred.
· Fire Safety Coordinator Certificate
· Food Handler's Certificate
· CPR/First Aide
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to speak/write the English language
· Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
