ABOUT THE ROLE
\nAs an integral member of the Materials Engineering team at Honeywell Aerospace, the Machining Sr Materials Engineer - Surface Enhancement will lead aerospace level functional groups in surface enhancement, conventional and nonconventional machining, and engineering substantiation/source approval. You will apply deep experience leading teams through complex solutions in creation of new and innovative products. You use refined project leadership skills to influence teams that solve various materials challenges.
\nLocated at the Honeywell Aerospace engines campus in Phoenix, Arizona, this Aerospace Materials Engineering position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
MUST HAVE
\n\n10+ years' experience demonstrating both hands-on process and technical expertise mixed with process development, problem resolution and design requirement definition\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics\n\nWE VALUE
\n\nBachelors degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering\nSignificant experience with data science\nStrong competency in simulation computational software\nEvidence of strong refined leadership and mentoring experience in technical materials project execution\nAbility to analyze and communicate complex results to key stakeholders to influence decision making\nExcellent communication at all levels with demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional, technical audience including Chief engineers and technology Fellows\nIndividuals who are self-motivated who consistently take the initiative to get things done and influence others to achieve on-time commitments and on-plan execution\nAbility to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness\nAbility to cope with high demand environment where priorities change frequently, and multiple projects are being worked at the same time\n\nBENEFITS
