The **Stationary Engineer** is responsible for the operation and maintenance of critical utility systems that are essential for the smooth functioning of our hospital. If you have a strong background in building operations and are dedicated to ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff, we encourage you to apply. **Responsibilities** + Operate and maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and other utility equipment to ensure reliable performance. + Monitor and adjust control systems to maintain optimal environmental conditions within the hospital. + Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems. + Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed. + Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages or equipment failures. + Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs. + Collaborate with other members of the Facilities Management team to coordinate maintenance activities. + Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards. + Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent maintenance issues. **Qualifications** + Minimum 2 years in commercial/hospital trades with knowledge in hospital facility repair and maintenance operations required in one of the following fields; electrical plumbing HVAC controls carpentry furniture repair and assembly texture and painting experience + High School diploma or equivalent GED required. + Knowledge in Maintenance Management Systems. + Ability to read blueprints. + Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations including the TJC DHS OSHA. + Fire Safety card within 90 days of employment. **This position is represented by SEIU - UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.** **Pay Range** $37.38 - $46.99 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
