Summary This position is located at the Great Plains Area Youth Regional Treatment Center. The incumbent will be required to work on any of the shifts to include day, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities Creates lesson plans, curricula, and other cultural education groups for the residents through the use of videos, library books, and other types of resource materials relating to various Northern Plains Tribes. Assists with and maintains the daily schedule, including but not limited to: community activities, daily meditations, daily goal setting, support group meetings and all related activities, and assists residents with their discharge and aftercare planning. Manages the security of the residents through random bed checks and systematically records those bed checks. Assists with Control Station duties that include: answering the telephone, providing interior and exterior security checks, routine bed checks, bathroom and shower monitoring, and monitoring surveillance cameras, fire and control panels. In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: GS-4: 6 months of general experience that provided a familiarity with the subject matter of the position to be filled AND 6 months of specialized experience that has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This specialized experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-03 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement.
