In this role, you will provide psychosocial evaluation, counseling, and resource referral services to patients with a cancer diagnosis. This position is entry level for recently licensed social workers who have earned their Master of Social Work (MSW), but also offers a unique opportunity for career growth by developing invaluable competencies, honing your clinical skills, and overseeing therapeutic programming. If you are looking to begin or advance your career in social in an oncology care setting, this opportunity is for youTeam ImpactAs an essential part of the interdisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to provide direct clinical services such as individual counseling, family counseling and psychological evaluation to our patients who have an cancer diagnosis. You will work with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure that the psychosocial needs/concerns of patients are incorporated into their comprehensive plan of care. You will also work with your colleagues to assist in the development of various resources to meet all aspects patient-specific needs, and participate in orientation, education, and in-service activities for patients/family members/staff that promote understanding of the psychosocial, patient specific/age related impact of cancer.
