Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Software Developer in the insurance industry, based in Dallas, Texas. The selected candidate will be expected to utilize their experience in database design, development, and business intelligence of Microsoft SQL Server in various business domains. Responsibilities: • Utilizing ETL-SSIS skills to design, develop, and document the ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) strategy for data store population from diverse source systems. • Demonstrating proficiency in database design and development in Microsoft SQL Server environments ranging from 2000 to 2014. • Ensuring the creation of schema objects including facts, attributes, and hierarchies using respective editors. • Drawing on extensive IT experience to maintain and process data in development, test, and production environments. • Ensuring the accuracy and efficiency in processing customer credit applications. • Maintaining precise customer credit records and monitoring customer accounts for necessary action. Requirements • Demonstrated experience as a Software Developer in the insurance industry. • Thorough understanding of ETL - Extract Transform Load processes. • Proficiency in using ETL-SSIS for data integration and transformations. • Proven ability to develop high-quality software solutions. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in relation to software development. • Excellent coding skills and understanding of software design patterns. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and processes. • A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. • Proven track record of delivering software projects within timelines and budgets. • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. • Commitment to continuous detail oriented development and learning. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work under pressure.
