As a Software Development Engineer, you will have an impactful contribution in the delivery of a new kind of platform for healthcare, one built specifically for the clinical team. From design to implementation, you will partner with our stellar engineering, product, and design teams in a fast-paced, agile environment to transform ideas into a reality. Utilizing modern methodologies and open source tools, you will be empowered to push the boundaries of development as we seek to deliver applications that will directly and immediately impact the experience of our teams and our patients.

Core Responsibilities:

Contribute in all aspects of SDLC process (SCRUM, Design, Code, Test, Deploy & Maintain)

Collaborate with cross functional teams

Participate in code reviews 

Improve overall code quality and maintainability

Address technical debt, bugs

Implementing SecDevops best practices

Other duties as assigned. 

What we’re looking for:

Bachelors or relevant industry experience

3+ years experience building high performance, low latency distributed systems running in the cloud.

Experience with our tech stack – Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, OpenAPI

Ability to write automated tests that validate the code’s functionality, passion about test driven development.

Knowledge of threading and memory management in building microservices.

Knowledge of building resilient, scalable and secure software.

Knowledge using and doing performance optimization of MongoDB.

Experience working in a distributed, event-driven, cloud native environment either in Azure/AWS using Docker/Kubernetes

Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD). 

Experience working in an Agile/Devops environment

Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture preferred

Experience with event sourcing preferred

US work authorization

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$79,310.00 - $158,620.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
