Now a little more about what you could be doing as part of our team and contributing to Swift’s mission and vision. As a Solution Validation Engineer on the IOT team, you will be responsible for verifying and validating the function and performance of Swift’s products and their compatibility to 3rd party devices. In addition, you will help design novel test methods and strategies to test end-to-end Swift solutions performance for different market verticals. You will help implement innovative tools to ensure full test coverage in various GNSS environments ensuring coverage on edge cases.

You will leverage Swift testing infrastructure  to collect and analyze live, replayed, and simulated test data to ensure the delivery of quality products to our customers.  You will have the fundamental systems expertise to strategize and validate complex solutions and products. Together, we'll create products that make high accuracy positioning ubiquitous and easy to use across a wide variety of industries and applications. This role is split (50/50) between our San Francisco office and our Lab located in Emeryville.

What you’ll do:

Validation of Swift’s products and solutions in a rigorous and timely manner Requirements verification and validation for software features and releases, from test case and procedure development to test execution Statistical data analysis of test raw data Investigation and debugging of test failures or performance regressions and escalation to product  and development teams Succinct and valuable documentation and communication of test results and performance metrics/KPIs  Support the validation of Swift’s products through managing test systems Design and bring up of new test platforms and infrastructure adapted to Swift market verticals Test system operations, scheduling and availability Maintain test infrastructure to be in optimal working order Working with different 3rd party platforms and receivers to ensure compatibility to Swift’s products Contributing to Test Strategy at system and integration level

Required Skills/Abilities

Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering or related field (0-2 years of experience) Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with how robotics systems are built, and managing embedded SW system integrations Rigorous and organized Proactive and highly self-motivated


Desired Skills/Experience

Experience with software scripting languages (Python) Experience in test and validation of complex systems Experience with Satellite Navigation (GNSS/GPS) and/or Inertial Navigation (INS) Systems Customer-facing experience Test fleet management and provisioning Automotive or robotics industry experience is a plus Good working skills with Atlassian products such as Confluence and Jira, as well as testing tools like X-ray

We are committed to pay transparency and providing fair compensation to all employees. The salary range for this position across the U.S. is $70,000 to $104,000 USD + equity + benefits annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
