It is a highly empowered role with strategic and tactical Procurement and Supplier Quality responsibilities for custom new development programs. In this role you will: + Select cost competitive and technically capable sources to deliver the next generation of military avionics control systems and power & propulsion systems + Collaborate with Engineering, Programs, and Operations to identify risks related to past supplier performance, onboarding new suppliers, supplier transitions, and critical part/process technologies + Coordinate technical reviews and design for manufacturability reviews for complex supplier parts to improve efficiencies, drive out cost, manage change, and mitigate supply chain risks + Negotiate contracts, place purchase orders, and amend purchase orders throughout the development cycle + Proactively engage with the supply base to confirm that robust plans are in place to comply with all purchase order flow downs and meet agreed upon delivery commitments + Facilitate problem solving activity and develop plans to rapidly recover from unexpected design, quality, or delivery issues + Communicate business needs and build relationships with supply base + Maintain compliance to established procurement and quality systems _* Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status._ **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Typically a Bachelor s Degree or equivalent work experience. + Candidate must be familiar with procurement and/or supplier quality processes. + Strong technical aptitude. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with root cause and corrective action tools. + Motivated team player with a positive attitude. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Engineering or Technical Degree + 5 years experience in a related field + Understanding of AS9100 or equivalent quality system + Proficiency in Oracle ERP + Familiarity with AS9145/APQP/PPAP requirements and tools **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $83900 - $142600 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
