Primary Responsibilities

Do you think you have what it takes to be a great leader and grow a successful area business? HDR is searching for our next Southern Idaho Construction Services Lead to come in and help take us to the next level.

The Southern Idaho Construction Services Lead will oversee all transportation construction services delivered by the Transportation Business Group in the Boise and Southern Idaho area. Additionally, this role willhelp drive field service pursuits in the Transportation Business Group.

The primary duties forthis roleinclude responsibility for Construction Engineering and Inspection, Project Controls, staff supervision, pursuit management and quality control.

Will manage and facilitate pursuits for the Boise/ Southern Idaho Region inconstruction services as well as assisting with municipal construction personnel.Capable of performing additional construction services activities including review of contract document terms and conditions; performance of constructability and value engineering reviews; construction estimating; schedule preparation and reviews; coordinating expediting and reviewing construction submittals RFIs; CPM schedule review; materials certification management; monitoring and resolving contract changes; controlling the project budget and schedule; coordinating and managing project quality assurance and control and inspection services (including inspection reports); and monitoring staff compliance with the Health and Safety Program through communication and inspections.Forecast workload for construction staff, facilities, vehicles, equipment, and other resources necessary to deliver the construction project assignments. Assist with strategic planning, execution, growth, mentoring, recruiting, business development, and client management.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Minimum 10 years of experience and various aspects of construction planning.PE license.Experience with pursuit and staff management is required.Must have recent experience delivering Construction services in Idaho to Transportation clients (Roads Bridges Highways Rail/Transit Aviation).Significant experience in the transportation construction field is required.Must have strong people skills and the ability to interact with the design team.Strong communication and listening skills.Ability to handle multiple assignments.Good leadership and organizational skills.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference given to candidates local to the Boise area.Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) experience.Experience with estimating, scheduling, and project management software.
