About the Job PetSmart – Sr. Business Systems Analyst The Sr. Business Systems Analyst – Demand Planning delivers technology strategy, data management, analysis, and testing for PetSmart’s Demand Planning, Replenishment, & Allocation systems. This analyst delivers projects that are on time, fully tested, and that meet the objectives of the business. The Super User supports moderate to complex systems with special focus on: Merchandise Demand Planning & Allocation Systems SAP Transactions (Related to Inventory Management process) Offer Management and Pricing Software Supply Chain Systems & Processes Ad Hoc Business Analysis ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures business needs are met by aligning systems technology to the overall business strategy. Responsible for maintaining Demand Planning & Allocation systems configuration, including user roles, business configuration, delivery schedules, safety stock optimization and identifying future areas of opportunity. Collaborates with leadership and peers within MPA, Buying, Supply Chain, and other key business areas to support effective inventory forecasting, promotions, replenishment & product allocation. Leads the identification of risk/opportunities and communicate in a timely manner to the business, recommending strategies to achieve key inventory goals and business metrics. Integrates all processes and systems to fully optimize product forecasting, promotional management, store replenishment & product allocation. Execute extensive data mining to consolidate and communicate opportunities to optimize inventories and provide recommendations to working teams/leadership. Responsible for leading the functional and technical training to support utilization of Relex and adherence to defined business processes. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a business, analytics or supply chain focus 5+ years related experience and/or training in demand planning, replenishment, forecasting & allocation; or equivalent combination of education and experience Critical thinking, analysis, and decision-making skills Demonstrated technical aptitude with emphasis on troubleshooting issues and problem solving Experience in user training and classroom facilitation of key business processes and core inventory management functions Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred: Retail industry experience with emphasis in Merchandising preferred TECHNICAL SKILLS Intermediate MS Excel Intermediate MS PowerPoint Knowledge of RELEX, SAP, and Offer Management systems and data sources MicroStrategy (or equivalent) required and SQL or TQL experience is a plus About the Culture At PetSmart, we work hard to create a culture where every associate feels like they truly belong and we celebrate the unique stories, backgrounds, and experiences our associates share.
