Sr Financial Analyst
Job Summary:

As a Senior Financial Analyst on the Disneyland Resort Hotel Operations Finance team, you would analyze metrics and trends to understand and influence business results.  Working closely with operations leaders and partners to provide key input on new business models and initiatives, designed to directly improve Guest experiences and drive shareholder value.

You would join a fast-paced site operations finance team dedicated to impacting the Guest experience through strong partnering and creative analysis. 

Every single day as a Senior Financial Analyst on the Hotels Operations Finance team is different! On any given day you might:

Collaborate with partners to review financial results, perform ad hoc analysis, propose recommendations to help drive initiatives and identify financial impacts for strategic opportunitiesSeek out business anomalies and patterns leveraging analytical tools and knowledge to shed light and gain understanding of the business to bolster strategies and initiativesDevelop financials for a forecast, annual operating plan, or long-term plan inclusive of cost trending analysis and operating income cause-of-change analysisProduce a strong written presentation, then verbally present the data and analysis to partners at all levels, including General Managers and Vice Presidents, demonstrating ability to shift between technical and non-technical terminology depending on the audienceDevelop strategic and financial analyses to evaluate ongoing and new business commercial initiatives related to hotels and various lines of businessDrive efficiency through process improvements, including maintaining and creating financial models, templates, and planning processesCreate a new dashboard or analytical tool to derive insights from operations dataFeel like an “insider” when you visit the hotels, experience a new offering, or see Guests purchasing and enjoying a product you worked on

Required Qualifications2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, data analytics, business development or relevant analytically oriented functionsKnowledge of forecasting and financial modeling, including proficiency in acquiring, organizing, and analyzing substantial amounts of dataDemonstrated strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytics in a way that is easily understandable and executable, and enjoy “storytelling” to engage and influence a diverse audienceFamiliar with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) as well as advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint to understand, review and summarize operating performanceExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven experience in financial modeling and analysisStrong attention to the detailed information and data accuracy, while keeping perspective on the bigger pictureNatural curiosity and inquisitiveness, enjoy solving problems, strong work ethic, and self-motivatedThe ability to work in a team environment with a positive demeanorAbility to prioritize projects, manage tight deadlines, perform job responsibilities accurately, and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervisionExperience with SAP, Longview, or similar financial planning system

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPointProven experience and a strong understanding of SAP, company hierarchy, Business Analysis Reporting, and Longview planning toolsStrong technical ability [finance discipline, software, simple data mgmt (SQL, Macros), visualization (Tableau, Power BI), project management]Familiarity with Walt Disney Parks & Resorts operations, business units, and product offerings

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field


The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, California is $103,400 to $126,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
