Sr Imaging Business Analyst (On-site)

Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing (SMS) is one of America’s top-five non-bank mortgage-servicing companies. What is mortgage servicing? Our clients are businesses that own mortgage loans (such as banks and real estate investment firms). On their behalf, we manage (or “service”) their loan portfolios, which means that we collect homeowners’ mortgage payments, pay their tax and insurance bills, and help homeowners in default to get current.
 

Primary Function

The Sr Imaging Business Analyst serves as the primary liaison with internal business units to develop reporting solutions, improve current processes, and access to business information. Validate and ensure data accuracy as it pertains to information requested or utilized. Interface with the leadership and management in Operations to leverage the usage of technology within the company. Identify and implement any opportunities for improvement in efficiencies or profitability. This position requires the candidate to possess analytical skills to analyze and decompose complex requirements into comprehensive test cases. 

Principal Duties

Work directly with the business users, technology, and financial analysts.Interview business customers to analyze, clarify and document, business processes and customer requirements.Define and assist in resolving business/technical related challenges.Facilitate meetings with business and technical team members to drive towards project completion.Plan and execute the management and maintenance of projects.Support projects as they move from initiation to implementation and conduct project reviews with impacted staff.Develop user acceptance test cases based on the requirements defined.Prepare instructional documentation and update user documentation to reflect new modification.Assist in establishing project scope.Contribute in defining and maintaining business analyst role-based policies and procedures.May guide/mentor more junior staff members.Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience Requirements  

Bachelor's degree in related field.5-7 years’ experience in a MIS consumer or business analysis role.3-5 years project coordinator experience preferred.Exposure to projects relating to technology.Management/project liaison experience a plus.Previous mortgage servicing experience preferred.Experience in business analytics and process documentation.
