Summary: 

Plans, designs and constructs manufacturing facilities and related structures. Determines facility specifications, including analysis and evaluation of location, material resources and structural design. Resolves technical problems and recommends production improvements 

Major Position Responsibilities Develops, evaluates, and improves industrial manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.  Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.  Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.  Confers with vendors in order to determine specifications of products and arrange equipment, material purchase, and parts.  Evaluates products based on specifications and quality standards.  Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in engineering or other engineering related degree5-7 years experience relevant to the positions functional area

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering or other engineering related degree 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to work as part of a teamMust be proficient in PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting. (PLC 5, SLC, Micrologix, ControlLogix, Panelview) Allen Bradley preferredAbility to read control system drawings (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic) and assist technicians with troubleshooting these systems.Individual would be responsible for providing control system designs (safety circuits, communication networks, panel design, hardware selection, etc.) and providing technicians with drawings and material for internal projects.Vision system experience preferred (Keyence IV, CV, XG series)Robot experience preferred. Primarily responsible for existing program modification and troubleshooting. (Fanuc, Epson)High level of electrical knowledge required with a working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Other Requirements:

Proficiency with MS Office tools
