Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will manage a variety of accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and the transition from cash-based to accrual-based accounting. You will also be responsible for optimizing QuickBooks usage, implementing month-end close processes, and maintaining vendor relationships. Responsibilities: • Accurately process and record vendor and subcontractor payments, ensuring accounts payable stays current • Maintain and manage vendor relationships effectively to avoid any payment delays that could impact business operations • Keep updated accounts receivable aging reports and assist in collections • Provide regular cash projection reports to support strategic business planning • Prepare and review profit and loss statements for different business entities, working collaboratively to improve the accuracy of bookkeeping and financial statement presentation • Perform cleanup and coding corrections in QuickBooks for accurate transaction categorization • Lead the transition from cash-based to accrual-based accounting practices within the company • Implement monthly close processes to improve efficiency and streamline operations • Oversee payroll processing and prepare account reconciliations as needed to ensure accuracy and accountability. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance • Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of accounting. • Must have in-depth knowledge of General Ledger maintenance. • Able to record and manage Journal Entries and lead Month End Close procedures. • Must have experience working with QuickBooks Online. • Capable of managing Cash Flow effectively. • Must understand and be able to implement Compliance measures in accounting practices. • Proficient in Accrual Accounting methods.
