Sr. Accountant
Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. You will analyze financial statements, verify financial records and transactions, assist with audits, and develop paperwork for regulatory reporting. You will also be responsible for overseeing the staff accountants, including training and monitoring their work for accuracy. Our ideal candidate has at least four years of detail oriented accounting experience with a track record for providing accurate and efficient work. Duties/Responsibilities: • Manage general ledger and assist month-end and year-end close processes • Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process • Prepare and post weekly payroll entries across the organization • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the Accounting Manager if necessary • Supervise staff accountants • Assist the Accounting Manager in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information • Assist in the preparation and filing of regulatory and tax filings • Respond to information requests both internal and external • Ensure compliance with GAAP • Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: • 4+ years of experience as an accountant • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Strong analytical skills • Good problem-solving and time management skills • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously • Demonstrated ability to lead a team • Highly organized and detail oriented • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software Education and Experience: • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, required.  CPA preferred, but not required Requirements Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
