Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a long-term contract position, ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in financial reporting and reconciliation. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations while collaborating closely with the incoming Controller. Responsibilities: • Perform comprehensive general ledger management, including tracing, analyzing, and resolving discrepancies. • Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain the financial records. • Generate and review detailed financial reports, ensuring clarity and compliance with accounting standards. • Conduct account reconciliations, including balance sheets and bank statements, to ensure accuracy. • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion. • Collaborate with the Controller to address financial system challenges and implement process improvements. • Assess the financial systems and perform cleanup tasks to improve efficiency. • Utilize NetSuite or Oracle software to manage financial data and reporting. • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working in a collaborative office environment. • Provide problem-solving support to address complex accounting issues. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in financial reporting and reconciliation. • Proficiency in NetSuite or Oracle software is essential. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manage financial data. • Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new financial systems and processes.
