We are looking for a stand out Business Intelligence Engineer responsible for building out analysis, visualization tools and processes to inform our business decisions. The successful candidate will be able to retrieve, integrate, visualize and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to improve the business decision-making process. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as an outstanding business acumen. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, who has a strong attention to detail, and enjoys working with large-scale data.

The Defect Prevention and Reconciliation team is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to analyze existing initiatives and operations, deep-dive/root cause issues as they come up, develop new business metrics, identify and quantify opportunities for improvement, and partner with internal stakeholders to help drive the business of Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) Selling Partners.

Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is built around Amazon’s world class capabilities in ordering, fulfillment, transportation and Customer service. By leveraging our current scale and supply chain, FBA can provide a low cost alternative for fulfillment and enable third party Sellers to rapidly grow their business. Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is an Amazon service for our sellers. The FBA team partners with sellers and our Amazon fulfillment centers to create a seamless experience for sellers to leverage our world-class facilities. 71% of sellers who use FBA report more than a 20% increase in unit sales after joining FBA. Key job responsibilities
* Defining, developing and maintaining critical business metrics and operational reports
* Analysis of historical data to identify trends and support decision making, including written and verbal presentation of results and recommendations
* Collaborating with software development teams to implement analytics systems and data structures to support large-scale data analysis and delivery of selling partner facing systems
* Mining and manipulating data from database tables, simulation results, and log files
* Identifying data needs and driving data quality improvement projects
* Understanding the broad range of Amazon’s data resources, which to use, how, and when
* Thought leadership on data mining and analysis
* Collaborating with data scientists to explore features, build robust data pipelines, and monitoring model performance
