Role Summary:

Responsible for reviewing and analyzing equity and fixed income investment data to formulate investment recommendations for investment managers and clients. Researches and identifies securities to purchase and evaluates the current portfolio holdings. Interprets investment trends and gathers information for analyses.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Administers and analyzes the construction of indices to determine whether the current holdings are meeting stated objectives; makes recommendations, and formally presents their work to amend rules and/or processes to a working group as appropriate.

Supports the team by trouble-shooting time-sensitive, complex, client queries.

Participates in projects as required.  Projects may include efforts to improve and expand our index offerings by working collaboratively with our quantitative research team, developing & and improving our internal technology and process capabilities, as well as gathering research for ad-hoc reporting (such as attribution analysis).

Monitors developments and new industry trends in indexing, as well as factor-based investment research.

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

Bachelor’s degree with 3 - 5 years of relevant experience

Experience with relational databases, Python, R, SAS, SQL, Tableau, or version control software preferred

Prior experience with quantitative research, index/portfolio construction or equivalent preferred
