This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will spearhead strategic operations growth initiatives, oversee the identification and resolution of critical production capability and supply challenges, and lead a team of Technical Project Managers to implement strategic supply chain and manufacturing initiatives. This involves conducting strategic and financial analyses to compare various business approaches such as in-sourcing, outsourcing, partnerships, or acquisitions (M&A), and assessing technical capabilities, cost-benefits, and feasibility analyses, as well as the resources required for implementation. You will also create execution plans and oversee execution-related activities such as equipment procurement, facility layout readiness, design review, equipment installation and production release. Additionally, the role may involve supervising the procurement department's implementation of approved strategic sourcing and partnership strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Operations or related engineering discipline.Extensive experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Production, or Engineering within an equipment manufacturing or aerospace industry.5+ years of People Management experience, demonstrating the ability to work independently and continuously improve approaches.5+ years of proven Project Management experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, resources and technical aspects of projects.Proven track record of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, including managing indirect reporting relationships in a collaborative work environment.Experience in creating and documenting manufacturing processes, particularly in the context of aerospace, or high-tech equipment.Proven experience in transitioning development products to production in a high-tech or aerospace industry.Proficient in time management, with the ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities across a team, ensuring high quality work and identifying support resources when necessary.Demonstrated ability to manage varied project types, shifting scope, and ambiguous requirements in a fast-paced environment.Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to build a solid business case and develop strategic growth plans.Knowledge of insourcing, outsourcing, M&A, and strategic supplier partnerships in the context of high-tech or aerospace industry.Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively pitch ideas to senior executives, coupled with leadership and team management skills to guide and oversee the implementation of proposed strategies.Strong interpersonal skills, capable of earning trust and maintaining positive and professional relationships, contributing to a culture of inclusion specifically in the demanding environment of the aerospace or space industry.Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry or a related hardware manufacturing discipline.Certification(s) in advanced project management tools and methodologies (PMP, LSSBB, Scrum)Experience in managing global supply chains, facilities construction and/or production operationsProven success in developing and implementing growth strategies within a high-tech manufacturing environmentExhibits executive presence and has a proven track record of leading and influencing senior leadership to make timely decisions.Advanced knowledge of industry-specific regulations, and quality standardsExperience in cost analysis and financial planning for large-scale projectsDemonstrated ability to drive innovation and process improvements within an organizationMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Paid Time Off:  Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
