The Sr. Security Consultant - Network will serve as a subject matter expert in supporting and delivering security solutions in an on-prem and hybrid cloud environment. The Sr. Security Consultant – Network will helps clients gain insight and context into their complex computer environments and identify, assess, and build infrastructure, processes and policies in order to meet the client’s needs. Sr. Security Consultant - Network will also serve as a mentor to other consultants within the practice discipline.

 

This role will report to the Director of Network Security Architecture within the Stratascale department.

 

This position is a remote position that reports to a Stratascale customer as determined by Stratascale management.

Responsibilities

Includes, but not limited to:

Provide expertise and solution delivery for client initiatives Proactively identify customer needs and requirements through architectural discussions, data, customer engagement and other methods to recommend appropriate solutions and services opportunitiesSupport competitive selling motions within the project scope developmentEngage with internal sales and technical teams to support solution sales cycle, qualify opportunities, close open pipeline, scope and ensure successful solution deliveryExecute consulting projects, driving objectives, creating deliverables and ensuring client needs and practice obligations are met and successfully provided customer satisfactionProvide subject matter expertise on network and cloud security solutions and specific capabilities to help customers design and implement their security goalsStay educated on new product technology, tangential team capabilities, and other specific offerings or programs emerging within our company and within the security industryDeliver trainings or create training content to internal teams on practice discipline capability, associated offerings, industry positioning and selling strategiesIdentify areas for continued advancement of strategies aligned with Industry direction, client need and practice scope and present solutions to leadershipConsistently deliver quality client services. Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budgetConsistently obtain status updates with customers to ensure alignment with project scope scheduling, and documentationInitiate project scope and lead the scope development and project delivery of all assignmentsServe as a mentor to other consultants within the practice discipline Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 7+ years client-facing experience working on designing and implementing complex security solutions in on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environmentsExperience delivering complex solutions and executing projects on time and successfullyExperience providing consultative guidance on solutions with ability to scope and develop level of effortExperience deploying platforms for an enterprise, and knowledge on key factors to consider when planning the deploymentSolid level of security industry knowledge, with proven firewall security knowledgeStrong fundamental understanding of technical security solutions and how they address customer risk exposure and solve key use casesProven understanding of security services engagementsProven experience designing solutions and building roadmaps in support of OEM and cloud native security control offeringsExperience supporting various compliance regulations such as but not limited to PCI, FISMA, HIPAA, and GDPR in large enterprise environmentsStrong understanding of NIST/CIS based standards and frameworks as applied to network architecture Required Skills Demonstrate a real passion for cybersecurity solutions, design, and deliveryOutstanding written and verbal communicationProactive and self-motivated mindsetAbility to work independently effectively as well as add value as a team member within the practice and with other teamsAbility to train and disseminate information within an area or operation and work effectively within all levels of an organization, both internally and externallyAbility to influence and lead all aspects of sales cycle and engage appropriate internal and external subject matter experts as neededAbility to engage and discuss technical and non-technical concepts with a wide array of customer audience types including C-Suite, VP/Director, Architect, Engineer and Analyst resourcesAbility to participate and lead demand generation and marketing efforts focused on pipeline generation when neededWillingness, drive and winning mindset to compete in customer opportunitiesEntrepreneurial mindset with ability to identify value in unstructured situationsEmotional intelligence, flexible work style, and excellent diplomatic skills across all levels of the organizationAbility to write, communicate, and present cybersecurity subject matters to audiences of multiple levelsExcellent presentation skills and comfortable “owning the room” in meetings and discussionsAbility and Initiative to research and resolve problems with a positive attitudeStrong infrastructure skills within firewall, cloud, and networking technologies such as but not limited to: IDS, content filtering, sand boxing, EDR, SIEM, SOAR, XDR, and Zero Trust, and their supporting solutionsAbility to mentor and guide other consultants within the team Certifications Required Certifications below are preferred not required:

Vendor Solutions and product specific certifications:PCNSEFortinet NSE 4+CCSECCNACCNPCCIEZscalerProofPointMimecast Unique Requirements Travel to partner sites, customer sites, conferences and Stratascale offices up to 40% annually Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $165,000 - $240,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
