The Digital Product team within the sales organization is a strategic capability for Planview. In our mission to “build the future of connected work”, it is becoming increasingly important that we partner with customers and prospects to identify where they are on their “strategy-to-delivery” journey and define the best Planview solution to meet those needs. The combination of transformation and our growing solution portfolio demands that we are experts at diagnosing customer needs, prescribing Planview solutions in the sales cycle, and ensuring a seamless handoff from solution design to our other success teams. Making this happen is what the Digital Product Development team is all about. Successful Digital Product Solution Consultants (SC) are Storytellers and Evangelists Any new idea or technology requires many voices preaching the new message. Mik’s book, Project to Product, has gained tremendous popularity as Fortune 500 companies yearn to master software at scale. You will be another voice with the goal of sharing passionate stories, based on your unique experiences, past and present, that build a vision at all levels of the customer’s organization. Solution Architects and Problem Solvers As you build the vision along with Planview’s sales team, you are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation and validation stages of the sales process. Planview’s Value Stream Management solution sits on top of the many tools they’ve chosen to get work done. Since many organizations still think and operate in silos, the Digital Product Development SC brings together tool owners and practitioners who have never worked together. Architecting a complete solution involves using Planview’s products in conjunction with Planning, Agile, Dev, Testing and Support tools. Therefore, you must be a natural problem solver with the ability to build a complete solution that includes numerous third-party tools. The position requires the ability to architect high level solutions and run technical product evaluations that proves the architecture is possible in complex enterprise environments. What You'll Do About you: As a member of the Digital Product SC Team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering Planview solutions architectural design and deep dive demonstrations for Lean / Agile & value stream management prospects and customers. You will be part of a team that consists of Value Stream and Agile-first thought leaders and solution consultants who serve as subject matter experts within Planview to advise companies on their value stream & agile transformation journey. The Digital Product SC Team is responsible for providing direct support to the sales teams; to understand the client’s environment, methodologies, processes, portfolio/program management approach, and to assist with the definition of a solution architecture. You will develop and deliver proposals to key client stakeholders through targeted demonstrations and Workshops/Proof of Concepts. You will work with field sales and solution consulting team, to assist in defining account strategy, to ensure that each the campaign from discovery through successful pilots realizing the full value of the Planview solution and place the customer on a path to success. In addition, you will provide support to Digital Product SCs in other regions who are running workshops and POC’s Advise Product/Program to C-level Transformation Executives on the value of our agile and Value Stream Management solutions and position in the marketplace. Perform live and recorded deep-dive solution demonstrations involving the Planview platform. Support Sales Executives, Managers and Solution Consultants to help move deals forward by using your knowledge of and credibility in value stream and agile disciplines. Work with Planview services team to ensure a seamless transition from pre to post sales. Contribute to market presence and the company brand in the agile space through participation in conferences, seminars, drafting articles in industry forums and other social media interactions. Discuss, design and evangelize Value Stream and Agile Transformations based on customer needs and be responsible for developing and delivering pilots, workshops & value realization activities for sales campaigns. What You'll Bring Would be great if you had the following qualifications: 3+ years of Pre-Sales Engineering / Solution Consulting experience High energy, self-starter comfortable with ambiguity in entrepreneurial environments Strong customer facing and relationship building skills Experience with Lean, Agile (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and/or DevOps Significant experience with executive presence and a proven ability to lead and facilitate executive meetings and workshops. Significant experience selling or administering one of the following plus familiarity with multiple tools listed below: Planview Jira Align, Aha! Agile tools such as: Jira, Azure DevOps (TFS), Digital.ai Agility, Rally Testing Tools such as: Tricentis Tosca, OpenText ALM (formerly Micro Focus) ITSM tools such as: ServiceNow, BMC Remedy Experience overcoming objections, such as security questions, technical issues or feature requests, to move deals forward. Experience selling solutions that consist of multiple products, coaching and technical services. Prior customer-facing role: sales engineer, consulting, product management/marketing, training. Involvement implementing and customizing ALM solutions in support of Agile teams, programs, or products. Understanding of project to product and Value Stream Management.
