Sr. Application Support Analyst

Professional Experience:

1.      6 + years of work experience in Support and Development activities.

Major Duties :

1.      Work as part of a team that provides support to critical applications that requires  dedicated support 24*6.

2.      Work closely with the globally located team and seek or provide assistance on inquiries or concerns raised with the Application Support team.

3.      Participate in Major Incident calls or Fire call situations.

4.      Triage reported issues and create or propose solutions to mitigate the re-occurrence.

5.      Be able to provide detailed analysis and provide support at the code level to understand the working logic in an application

6.      Be able to perform impact analysis internally as well as in upstream and downstream from solutions.

7.      Work with the Business/Operation partners in order to facilitate quick and clear instructions ,  as well as business resumption.

8.      Provide active Incident management skills and display experience in a ticketing tool like Services Now related to active and aging tickets.

9.      Be able to keep track of Problem tickets and Change tickets in Service Now.

10.  Identify areas of improvement (systematic and process) and strive to make applications more business friendly in nature with more self-services capabilities.

11.  Probe areas to automate manual recurring activities.

Desired Skills:

1.      Strong Analytical skills

2.      Solid  communication capabilities.

3.      Proficient understanding of data movement capabilities including File and Messaging options

4.      Proficient in SQL writing.

5.      Basics of Network Engineering.

Preferred Skills/Knowledge:

1.      Understanding of Private and/or Public Cloud architecture/concepts. Certification in AWS/Azure/GCP an advantage.

2.      Languages: Java

3.      UI Tools: Angular JS; React JS

4.      Database: Oracle
