Job Overview

Qualcomm is seeking a Staff Field Application Engineer to join their IE-IOT team in Korea. This role involves working with highly motivated engineers and industrial players in the Korea region for designing & developing system on modules and products based on Qualcomm's IoT-focused SoCs.

The position requires expertise in embedded systems and will focus on supporting customers with Qualcomm's cutting-edge AI, machine learning, computer vision, security, and wireless technologies. You'll be responsible for understanding customer requirements, communicating with internal teams, and helping external stakeholders implement their applications on Qualcomm platforms.

Key technical areas include experience with embedded systems and familiarity with various operating systems including Android, Linux, Ubuntu, and Windows. The role involves both technical support and project management aspects, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams.

Requirements For Staff Field Application Engineer - IE-IOT

Master's/Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science related field5+ years of experience in Industrial and Embedded IOT fieldFamiliar with embedded systems running complex OS like Ubuntu, Yocto Linux, Windows and AndroidExperience and understanding in application processors related to IOT devicesSolid understanding of computer system architectureMust demonstrate communication skills in English (both oral and written)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field and 4+ years of Field Application Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field and 3+ years of Field Application Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field and 2+ years of Field Application Engineering or related work experience.
