Stage 1 - Program Coordinator (Manager)\n

What We're Looking For:\n

We are seeking a Program Coordinator who will assist the Case Management Manager with leading the operations of the department to achieve program goals, while managing and providing direct support to department supervisors. The Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for Stage 1 program oversight and working with department supervisors to ensure contract compliance with the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Social Services childcare subsidy contract. \n
\n

RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nProvide program oversight including review of all proposed contract changes, provide input to funders regarding the impact of proposed changes on customer service and workload; ensure contract is implemented as required by the LA County DPSS.\nAnalyze key program indicators to ensure program viability. \nPlan and implement strategies that are in line with agency goals, contract requirements and will increase productivity. \nServe as the agency representative for DPSS.\nDevelop lines of communication with external stakeholders (DPSS, LA Alliance agencies, etc.) and represent program and agency at professional organizations, community meetings, trainings, and meetings with funding agencies.\nWork with department supervisors to achieve higher compliance ratings on internal and external audits, develop process improvement and\/or training plans to increase\/improve contract compliance.\nEnsure quality customer service at every level within the department. Develop reward incentives for staff who consistently demonstrate higher levels of quality customer service, while maintaining program standards.\nWork as a liaison with other departments, facilitate inter-departmental communication regarding general work with other departments. \nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\n

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:\n\nBachelor of Science\/Arts degree from an accredited university in Health Education, Social Services or related field; relevant work experience in human services\/health education\/child development may be substituted for college level education. \nMinimum 3-5 years supervisory experience managing a staff of at least 4 - 8 people required. 1-2 years demonstrated experience increasing workflow processes, work effectiveness and compliance within a department. \nMust have knowledge of the childcare subsidy contracts which are funded by the California Department of Education and the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Social Services. \n\n
