The Sr. Security Consultant - Cloud will serve as a subject matter expert in supporting and delivering security solutions in a hybrid multi-cloud environment. The Sr. Security Consultant – Cloud will help clients gain insight and context to their complex computer environments and assess, improve, and build infrastructure, processes and policies in order to meet the client’s needs. The Sr. Security Consultant – Cloud will also serve as a mentor to other consultants within the practice discipline.

 

This role will report to the Director of Hybrid Cloud Security for Stratascale.

 

This position is remote with a Home Office setup as determined by Stratascale management.

Responsibilities

Includes, but not limited to:

Provide expertise within the focused practice discipline for client initiatives in the form of technology solution and service offering deliveryProactively identify customer needs and requirements through data, customer engagement and other methods to recommend appropriate solutions and services opportunitiesSupport competitive selling motions within the project scope developmentEngage with internal sales and technical teams to support solution sales cycle, qualify opportunities, close open pipeline, scope and ensure successful solution deliveryExecute consulting projects, driving objectives, creating deliverables and ensuring client needs and practice obligations are met and successfully provided customer satisfactionProvide subject matter expertise on cloud security infrastructure specific capabilities to help customers design and implement solutions such as but not limited to: Cloud access security brokers, workload protection, posture management, Data Security, SEIM/SOC integration, Threat detection and response, Identity, Virtualization and container security, secure application development and deployment strategies, CI/CDStay educated on new product technology, tangential team capabilities, and other specific offerings or programs emerging within our company and within the security industryDeliver trainings or create training content to internal teams on practice discipline capability, associated offerings, industry positioning and selling strategiesIdentify areas for continued advancement of strategies aligned with Industry direction, client need and practice scope and present solutions to leadershipConsistently deliver quality client services. Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budgetConsistently obtain status updates with customers to ensure alignment with project scope scheduling, and documentationInitiate project scope and lead the scope development and project delivery of all assignmentsServe as a subject matter expert in designing, architecting and delivering solutionsServe as a mentor to other consultants within the practice discipline Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 7+ years client-facing experience working on designing and implementing complex security solutions in hybrid, multi-cloud environmentsExperience delivering complex solutions and executing projects on time, successfullyExperience providing consultative guidance on solutions with ability to scope and develop level of effortExperience deploying platforms for an enterprise, and knowledge on key factors to consider when planning the deploymentSolid level of security industry knowledge, with proven cloud security knowledgeStrong fundamental understanding of technical security solutions and how they address customer risk exposure and solve key use casesProven understanding of security services engagementsProven experience designing solutions and building roadmaps in support of OEM and cloud native security control offeringsExperience supporting various compliance regulations such as but not limited to PCI, general data privacy, and GDPR in a multi-cloud environmentStrong understanding of NIST/CIS based standards and frameworks as applied to cloud architecturePractical understanding of DevOps concepts design and tooling automation and orchestration and DAST/SAST/IAST tooling and process supporting containers, CI/CD and associated emerging technologies Required Skills Demonstrate a real passion for team technology solutions design and deliveryOutstanding written and verbal communicationProactive and self-motivated mindsetAbility to work effectively, add value as a team member within the practice discipline and with other teamsAbility to train and disseminate information within an area or operation and work effectively within all levels of an organization, both internally and externallyAbility to influence and lead all aspects of sales cycle and engage appropriate internal and external subject matter experts as neededAbility to engage and discuss technical and non-technical concepts with a wide array of customer audience types including C-Suite, VP/Director, Architect, Engineer and Analyst resources.Ability to participate and lead demand generation and marketing efforts focused on pipeline generation when needed.Willingness, drive and winning mindset to compete in customer opportunitiesPoses an ability to simplify and explain complex problems to stakeholders of all levels across multiple functionsEntrepreneurial mindset with ability to identify value in unstructured situationsEmotional intelligence, flexible work style, and excellent diplomatic skills across all levels of the organizationAttention to detail, organization, and follow up skills are criticalAbility to write communicate and present subject matter to audiences of multiple levelsAbility and Initiative to research and resolve problems with a positive attitudeExcellent presentation skills and comfortable “owning the room” in meetings and discussionsStrong infrastructure skills with virtualized cloud networking such as but not limited to: routing, DNS, VPN, LDAP-Directory services, and equivalent in AWS, Azure and GCPAbility to rationalize and design multi-cloud security architectures with focus on threat protection, security control enforcement, identity, application security data security and incident response in a standardized approachAbility to mentor and guide other consultants within the team Certifications Required Certifications below are desired and not required:
Industry certifications:CISSPCIAMCISM / CISA / CRISCGIAC (GSEC)Vendor Solutions and product specific certifications:AWS/AzureVarious OEM Unique Requirements Travel to partner sites, customer sites, conferences and Stratascale offices up to 25% annuallyCandidate will need to have access to an international airport Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $165,000 - $240,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
