JOB TITLE: Strategic Sales Representative – UK Public Sector 

Location: UK, near London.

Juniper is looking for new public sector business acquisition sales professionals to identify, qualify, develop and close opportunities within a defined list of Integrated Care Systems and emergency services account. The candidate must excel in new business acquisition where they will leverage and align with the Juniper accredited partner community to drive opportunities and grow Juniper market share within their defined vertical market.

The individual will be responsible for opportunities that will have been identified through demand creation resources including but not limited to: Juniper preferred partner community, inside sales, end user engagement and marketing activities. The candidate will have access to specialist resources to support their activities, these include: vertical specialists, sales specialists, pre-sales, service specialists and Juniper financial services.   

Primary Responsibilities:

The Account Manager will work well in a matrixed environment, building a “virtual” team to drive success of their market. The Account Manager will focus on developing a base of up to 100 named accounts within their region and vertical market. The Account Manager must demonstrate strong team working ethics encompassing sales and technical specialists, marketing and partner account managers to drive end user engagement and vertical market growth. Create a consistent cadence to driving partner-led demand generation, Demonstrate strong communication skills, including the ability to present and engage at CxO, and business decision level. Translate Juniper technology into strategic business outcome and customer value based vertical messaging. Apply Juniper’s best practice MEDDIC sales methodology Strong SDFC Hygiene with accurate and up to date information to manage opportunities, quota attainment, short-term, mid-term, and long-term forecast data Responsible for building 3 Month, 6 Month and 9 Month pipelines 

Candidate Required Background:

Minimum 3+ years’ experience in public sector networking and network security sales is desirable Referenceable track record of successful sales experience within UK Public Sector vertical markets Hunter mentality essential Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to present is essential Strong track record of driving sales through channel partners in the Networking and/or Telecommunications industry Experience developing sales strategies, preparing proposals and quotes and presenting networking products Broad-based technological awareness in the internetworking industry, complemented by knowledge of data networking concepts, with specific skills in the area of routing and switching Experience and Proven track record breaking into the new accounts/white space Strong presenter and closer with the ability to demonstrate the necessary skills to negotiate issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy Creative innovator who is a proactive team player, with a proven track record working in matrixed environments Excellent business acumen Good relationship building and consultative skills Ability to prioritize in a dynamic, changing environment Ability to Travel - Primarily local
