We are seeking an enthusiastic Structural Supervising Engineer with experience supporting Power Generation and Heaving Industrial Projects at Mt. Laurel, NJ. Responsibilities include managing structural project activities from conception to construction including supporting structural site work. The successful applicant can look forward to projects including simple and combined cycle powerplants, nuclear projects, and plant retrofits throughout the United States that require all facets of structural engineering and design.  

 

What You'll Do Here 

 

·         Functioning as the structural discipline lead on a project. 

·         As the structural engineer of record for assigned projects, using your professional engineering license to sign and seal structural drawings developed under your supervision. 

·         Power plant and heavy industrial facility design of steel structures and concrete foundations. 

·         Ability to coordinate interdisciplinary team of engineers and designers to complete project tasks on schedule and on budget. 

·         Reviewing relevant codes, design documents, specifications, and construction documents to support project development. 

·         Performing structural calculations, developing engineering reports, studies, specifications, and design drawings. 

·         Ability to develop material and workhour estimates as well as engineering and design schedules 

·         Experience with industry standard engineering software such as STAAD Pro, MathCad, etc.. 

·         The successful candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of collaborating with the multi-discipline engineers and designers 

·         Professional Engineering (PE) license in US.  

 

What You Bring To The Team

 

·         Bachelor of Science degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university. 

·         Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in structural engineering and design.  

·         M.S. in Civil (Structural) Engineering 

·         Experience in seismic analysis and design of structures, systems, and components for nuclear power plants. 

·         Experience with ANSYS and AutoDesk Advance Steel is a plus.
