Structured Products (Director/VP)

Who You’ll Work With:

70-80%: Lead / co-lead / assist AB-PCI Structured Products team in debt fundraising for AB-PCI funds (commingled funds, BDCs, SMAs, etc) in order to achieve optimal fund leverage and pricing.

Products include (but not limited to) warehouses, CLOs, ABS, and bilateral ABLs).

Focus on (i) strategy, sourcing, and execution for new leverage capital and (ii) participate in the oversight and ongoing monitoring/management of existing and future fund leverage vehicles, ensuring best execution and compliance with various facilities.

Expected to work and coordinate with treasury, finance, credit team, BD, senior management, and accounting and operations teams.

20-30%: other ad hoc projects.  Other initiatives associated with debt fundraising including (but not limited to) fund level financing (unsecured IG notes, corp revolver, NAV, and subscription line facilities), BD/equity capital raising projects, RFP, and other.

What You’ll Do:

New debt fundraising – lead/co-lead solicitation of interested lenders, term sheet negotiation, lender selection, internal coordination/approval, documentation negotiation, and closing of new credit facilities.

Monitor ramp of warehouse facilities to help best determine timing for CLO/ABS takeout.

Forecast and maintain forward pipeline of financing vehicle closings and capital market takeouts, while also monitoring end of reinvestment periods and maturity dates on existing financing vehicles.

Coordinate with treasury, finance, middle office, and operations to ensure smooth closing process.

Act as key point of contact for arranger bank and other lender counterparties.

Build and maintain relationships with key debt fundraising counterparties (banks, insurance companies, alternative asset managers, pensions, sovereign wealth funds, etc)

Mentor junior staff across Finance and Middle Office to help develop their knowledge and skillset pertaining to Structured Products.

Research and develop new product ideas related to new and existing business initiatives.

Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reports as requested by senior management.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Minimum 10 years work experience, preferably in finance or accounting.

Minimum 7 years direct experience in a structured products position at another private credit direct lender or in a structuring and/or lending capacity at a CLO arranging bank that provided financing and/or CLO arranging to the middle market private credit industry.

Experience with leverage facility loan documentation

Experience with private credit direct lending terms, concepts, underwriting, risk and return dynamics in order to explain our strategy to leverage providers

Existing network of lender/investor relationships a plus

Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem solving skills

Ability to manage relationship with multiple leverage providers and internal stakeholders

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong financial modeling skills

Lending law and loan documentation understanding

In accordance with applicable law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:

Base Salary Range: $150,000.00 to $250,000.00

Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.
