Requisition 202400145ST Title Student Research Assistants - Ag Business Employee Class Student Employee College Work Study Position No Department School of Agricultural Sciences Division Division of Academic Affairs Hours per week 28 Hiring Rate $15.38 (Hourly) Preferred Student Classification Nature & Purpose of Position Six undergraduate student interns will be hired to participate in the USDA Research and Extension Experiences for Undergraduates (REEU) program at Sam Houston State University (SHSU). Dr. Danhong Chen, Associate Professor of Agribusiness in the School of Agricultural Sciences at SHSU, is the project director for this summer internship program. The overarching goal of this USDA REEU program is to provide research and extension experience for undergraduate students and prepare them for the agricultural education workforce or graduate studies with exceptional skills. Other Requirements for the Position The undergraduate interns will work from June 1 to July 26, 2024 (8 weeks) on the Huntsville campus of SHSU.
