SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of employees and must comply with all safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise all personnel and operations on shift. Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment. Report any process and equipment problems. Organize work for smooth operation. Assure that established policy, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed. Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area. Meet production quality and quantity standards on the shift. Strong judgment and decision making. Must possess coaching and development skills. All other duties as assigned.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Planning, assigning, and directing work. Appraising performance. Rewarding and disciplining employees. Addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate of Arts degree (AA) or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school, or 4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in the aviation industry, required. FAA Airframe Powerplant (AP) license, required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
