Position Title: Supervisor, Engineering & Delivery (M1) 

Position Summary
Per administrative direction, the Supervisor, Engineering & Delivery drives improvements to processes to scale the business, works cross-functionally to deliver against customer objectives while also scaling partner teams capabilities through influence and leadership. The candidate is adaptable and technologically diverse, full stack, as new products, capabilities, services are added to the product offering.
Essential Job Functions

Mastery of Managed Solution delivery fundamentals: Project Planning: Collaborate with sales and technical teams to develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Project Oversight: Monitor project progress, ensuring that timelines are met, deliverables match requirements, and customer expectations are exceeded. Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of lit fiber services, full stack networking including SD-WAN, SASE and related technologies to provide expert guidance and direction. Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures and metrics to ensure the highest standards of service delivery and accountability. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for both customers and internal teams, gathering and sharing information, providing regular focused updates, and addressing concerns. Incremental Improvements: Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency gains to enhance the delivery of managed solutions in a timely and profitable manor Maintain and be a steward with relationship both internally (within Managed Solutions team and cross-functional teams) and external customers. Communication with key stakeholders regarding delivery workflow status and barriers Trains, supervises, and evaluates the performance of assigned staff to enhance team productivity and ensure that project and operational objectives are achieved. Coordinates process execution and strategic changes both internally within the Managed Solutions team as well as cross-functional teams. Mastery of software defined networking (SDN) technologies along with SASE and other remote user technologies. Prepares and presents OKRs that align to the service delivery workflow process. Oversees departmental change management procedures to ensure stability of required systems. The individual must possess and employ the highest ethical and business standards and always conduct himself/herself with the greatest degree of professional integrity in accordance with the “Purple” principles. The individual must be detailed oriented and possess the desire and ability to work in a collaborative environment in a mentorship role.

Job Knowledge

REQUIRED - GENERAL

 Experience in leading an engineering team. Experience in performing service delivery workflows. Direct experience in SD-WAN Technologies (Versa preferred).

REQUIRED – IP/ETHERNET/SDWAN

Advanced understanding of firewall implementations (IPsec VPN, ACLs, NGFW, SSL Decryption and UTM) Experience in building class of service, redundancy protocols (VRRP/HSRP), Tracking/IP-SLA Monitors, DHCP and policy-based routing. Experience in building different WAN topologies – Full Mesh, Hub-Spoke Advanced understanding of advanced network routing protocols (BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF) Advanced knowledge of network security best practices, designing and implementing scalable and reliable networks.

DESIRED

Technical certifications in the field from Ciena, Juniper, Versa or Cisco. Experience and basic understanding of technologies and protocols used in your less proliferate discipline.Scripting and Automation in a JSON environment. Knowledge of bash, python, XML, YANG/NETCONF Ability to work in a UNIX systems environment (BSD, Linux, Solaris, etc.) Experience in working with SASE and other remote user connectivity technologies. Experience in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS or GCP)

Education/Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Networking, Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field

Experience/Minimum Requirements

6+ years of experience in telecommunications, Networking, IT Security, or related fields Experience in a service provider environment and carrier engineering preferred 4+ years of experience supporting and implementing SDWAN and/or SASE

Other Skills/Abilities

Experience with the following: Data: SSH, Telnet, TCP/IP, LACP, VOIP, GRE, NAT, PIM, IGMP, Traffic Engineering, SNMP, Syslog, Netflow MS Office, Visio, Intermediate PC skills

Organizational Relationship

Reports to: Manager Network Engineering

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model, working in the office Monday through Thursday.  On Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home.  There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel. 

For New York, Colorado, California and Washington residents the hiring range offered for this position is $90,000- $112,000 annually. In addition to salary, employees are eligible for an annual bonus of up to 20% of annual salary and annual restricted stock. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
