L.A. Turbine (LAT), a Chart Industries Company, is a design and manufacturing company creating application-specific, highly engineered turboexpanders that are used in hydrocarbon processing, geothermal power generation, and other power-recovery or refrigeration applications in industrial processes worldwide. Our turboexpander configurations include an expander-compressor with oil or active magnetic bearings, expander-generator, expander-dyno (brake) units, and expander-compressors.
LAT also provides comprehensive aftermarket services, including repair, redesign, spare part production, and commissioning for all OEM turboexpander makers and models.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers to type, handle, feel, grasp, push, and pull. The individual is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk and hear, operate office equipment (computer, copier, scanner, phone, etc.), and perform repetitive motions. The individual is occasionally required to climb, walk, and/or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The individual may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This position is subject to both office and uncontrolled manufacturing shop environmental conditions, noise, and oils, as well as subject to hazards such as, but not limited to, moving parts and vehicles, heat, and chemicals.
Your Experience Should Be...Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in the following fields: Engineering, Sciences, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent to 5+ years of progressive experience within engineering and manufacturing business environments
Five (5) or more years of experience in planning, procurement or logistics in an MRP environment
Excellent communicator with interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence
Ability to handle multiple projects and sustain day-to-day procurement activities.
Excellent problem-solving capability along with computer proficiency.
Knowledge of materials management procedures
Detail-oriented, excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Background in dealing with engineering, document control, and product management functions.
Demonstrated working knowledge and theoretical understanding of purchasing concepts and practices
Strong leadership skills, strategic thinking abilities, and the ability to manage complex supply chain functions within a manufacturing environment.
Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, theories, and processes.
Strong understanding of ERP systems
Must be well organized and able to coordinate multiple tasks.
Must be a team player and a team leader.
