Support AideReq #:0000147363 Category:Housekeeping Status:Per Diem Shift:Evening Facility:RWJ Somerset Department:Environmental Services Location: RWJUH Somerset, 110 Rehill Ave, Somerville, NJ 08876 Job Summary: To provide housekeeping/cleaning service that will support the highest possible level of cleanliness; provide exceptional service to internal and external customers; maintain an orderly and attractive environment throughout the facility in accordance to RWJ standards Qualifications: Required: + Speak and understand English + Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods + Requires bending, stooping, reaching up, and lifting up to 50 lbs. + Exposure to chemicals on a constant basis requiring special clothing or safety equipment. Preferred: + One to two years as housekeeping or service worker Essential Functions: + Demonstrates knowledge of department policies and procedures + Demonstrates knowledge & efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment and tools + Performs related services, such as bed moves, changing mattresses, changing curtains, stocking supplies, event setups etc. + Maintains high standards; work steadily at efficient pace; achieves high QA score + Interacts hospitably, cheerfully, and supportively with staff, patients, visitors and work colleagues + Maintains equipment, tools and storage areas, orderly and in good operating condition + Respond rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, special-needs, spills, etc. + Accepts suggestions and directions from supervisors and hospital staff + Honors department's attendance, break, behavior, dress and safety codes + Exercise good judgment while working around patients and visitors + Remains Professional at all times + Takes initiative in rendering service or responding to needs + Assist other associates as necessary.
