Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.Prepares surgical operating suites; Assists with preparing patientsPasses instruments to physician during surgeryReceives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory;monitors suppliesAnticipates the needs of the surgeonCounts instruments, sponges, needles and other items as dictated by hospital policy; Assists in room clean-up.
