Job Description

We are seeking candidates to fill the position of Land Surveying Technician. Ideal candidates will have an interest in building a career involving all aspects of the Land Surveying discipline. Field surveys involve a survey crew (1-2 people) for topographic, boundary, construction layout, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys that require a high level of detail toward surface features, underground utility assets, accuracy, and error reduction.

ResponsibilitiesConduct field surveys with a survey crew for topographic, boundary, construction layout, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys.Ensure high levels of detail and accuracy in surveying surface features and underground utility assets.Reduce errors and maintain precision in all surveying tasks.Essential Skills3+ years of experience as a survey crew chief1+ year of experience using AutoCADHigh school diploma or GED requiredClean driving recordAbility to walk around and be on feet for extended periodsTechnical writing skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred)FAA Part 107 Pilot's License (a plus)Familiarity with terrestrial LiDAR scanning and techniques (a plus)Work Environment

The work will be conducted near Belfry, KY and locations in West Virginia. There is an Airbnb onsite in West Virginia where candidates can stay for the duration of the project. While transportation is not provided, candidates can use personal vehicles and will receive mileage reimbursement at the federal rate. Professional growth and advancement opportunities are available, including mentoring and software training, as well as guidance towards potential licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
