Position Summary


In this role you will be responsible for supporting a multitude of IT systems specifically related to access control and Identity Credential and Access Management (ICAM). This position will provide helpdesk support to receive and record calls and ensure that those issues reported are mitigated and tracked/logged. The position will also provide basic system administration of systems including but not limited to application servers, operating systems, virtualization, storage, and security. Additionally, the position requires an individual who is keen on learning new applications and skill sets while supporting senior engineers on on-going ICAM projects. Other duties include end-user training, documentation and developing plans and other material for respective projects. This position is maintained at a single on-site work location with occasional travel to other facilities. Candidates must be flexibility in schedule, neat in appearance, able to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Punctuality, attendance, a willingness to learn, and an ability to work well with others are key to success in this role.

 

Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:

Manage ICAM system support to meet service level agreements. Triage customer support calls, helping customer’s resolve issues Use a ticketing system to track issues and resolutions Analyze system performance and recommend improvements Use Remote support tools for troubleshooting, and system maintenance Send system outage notifications and updates via email and the ticketing system Train system users and other system support personnel Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision Occasional on-site weekend support (less than 4 times a year) Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and technical specialists Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective actions

 

Minimal Candidate Requirements

Please note that in pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain DoD active Secret Clearance or above is required Education: Computer Science, Engineering Degree, or a Related Technical Discipline 0-2 Years of Experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science Information Technology, or Cybersecurity 4-6 Years of Experience with an associate degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or another technical field 6-8 Years of Experience with a High School Diploma Must obtain Security+, CASP, or CISSP certification within the first 90 days of employment

 

Desired Qualifications

Experience supporting DoD and/or Federal Government IT infrastructure, including IT infrastructure for Electronic Security Systems (ACS / IDS / CCTV / Biometrics) is strongly preferred Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills Ability to manage one's own time to complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience Customer support service experience Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL, including backups, generating reports, and modifying stored procedures Knowledge of strategies for fault isolation, root cause analysis, and other methods for identifying system issues using a wide variety of problem indicators Understanding of PACS Systems, PKI/Certificate Authorities and OCSP technologies. Understanding of virtualization technologies and network communication protocols and tools Basic knowledge and understanding of common network defense mechanisms including firewalls, ACS/IDS/IPS, HBSS, and antivirus Basic understanding in technology relating to the optimization of servers and networks. Proficiency with bash or powershell scripting experience
