Systems Administrator Senior Advisor (Platform/Infrastructure/DevOps)

HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Operate and sustain the on-going daily operational use of an infrastructure to include assessment, gap analysis, automation, updating, testing to accelerate deployment, administration, and monitoring gaining efficiencies.Build a shared platform aggregating the tools, services, workflows, and data used by engineers and technical teams across the organization to simplify the development process and make reusable services accessible to development teams.Work closely with client development teams and architects to design, build, and sustain a containerized application platform.Deploy software to new platforms and maintain multiple environments from development through production.Drive and manage improvements with an emphasis on automation, proactive monitoring across environments, and ongoing maintenance.Support and management of server lifecycle - provisioning, maintenance, security compliance, decommissioning of hardware and daily operationsMonitor the infrastructure environment’s health status, service performance, and utilizationImplement and maintain continuous compliance to information security policies and technical standards, report and remediation of non-compliancesMaintain the security baseline compliance via automation, container scanning, configuration, implementation, and remediation activitiesRepair and recover from hardware or software failures and communicate with impacted constituencies.Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performanceIntegrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems to containerized environmentProvide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systemsManage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 10 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experienceRequired Skillset:Experience with cloud deployments, automation experience and infrastructureDesign, implementation and sustainment experience in platform / infrastructure environments.Demonstrated experience establishing, maintaining, and executing O&M processes and procedures in support of automation of traditional environments and container environments.Strong knowledge of containerized infrastructure technologies and tools such as:Operating Systems/Hypervisors/Orchestration: Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu), Kubernetes, K3s, Terraform, Rancher, Docker, OpenShift, VMware vSphereAutomation, Scripting, and Infrastructure as Code: Python, PowerShell, Go, Bash, YAML, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, REST APIsCollaboration tools: Gitlab, Azure DevOps ServerExcellent analytical skills to evaluate, interpret, draw inferences, and make recommendations on data.Security Clearance Level: TS/SCIRequired Certification(s):DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contractRequired Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalentRequired Computing Environment certification: Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS) ORDocker Certified Associate (DCA) ORKubernetes and Cloud-Native Associate (KCNA) ORHashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate OREquivalent Level Technology Certification to startRequired Computing Environment certification: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)/Ansible Certification ORMicrosoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert ORAWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional ORCertified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) ORCertified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) OREquivalent Level Technology Certification or higher within 180 days of hire date​Location: On Customer SiteUS Citizenship: RequiredAdditional:Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contractTravel may be required to support the mission
