The Integration Services team is adding a Systems Engineer, responsible for working closely with Sales, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Service teams to create the necessary documentation to sell, produce, install, & operate material handling equipment.

 

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned.

ERP systems experience or a willingness & capability to learn new computer software programs Expert knowledge of AutoCAD, including proven working experience with 2D/3D AutoCAD.  Translate customer requirements into a 2D/3D Cad layout of a system in cooperation with the Sales Team. Provide direction for applying correct material handling equipment based on product and system requirements. Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes Generate specifications from detailed mechanical layouts for manufacture and installation of the equipment. Provide quotes and final proposals to present to customers. Work independently to collect information to create the drawings, site measurements, required information from subcontractors or suppliers. Create specifications for special features. Proven ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently Ability to work within a team environment Ability to conceptualize new designs from scratch. Ability to lead a multi-functional team to get results on a schedule.  Ability to implement new technologies and process into product designs.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in conveyor and material handling layouts. EXPERIENCE: Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows. Adaptable, flexible, and pro-active. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Proven track record working in an organized and structured way. A positive contributor and a team player. Willingness & availability to travel. Related industry experience is an asset.  Additionally, there are infrequent requirements to assist Project Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers and/or Service Technicians in off-site work involving significantly different skills and environmental conditions from day-to-day requirements (use of measuring devices like calipers, tape measures, etc.). The environment is often extreme temperatures, wet and humid, noise levels above 85dB, climb ladders and work from elevated platforms, access is often restrictive and requires agility to perform work, machinery which may start and stop without warning and floors and ladders are often wet and/or slick.
