**Job Description** BAE Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to work on a team supporting our government customer. As a Systems Engineer you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. You will tailor cutting-edge solutions to the unique requirements of our customers. Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Systems Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA. The Systems Engineer designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems. This includes the coordination of system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing. Responsibilities will include: Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific engineering projects Develops solutions to a variety of engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity Perform systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end Oversees moderately complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis Performs continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategies Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + BA/BS and6 years of related systems engineering experience + Active TS/SCI clearance required and eligibility to obtain a CI poly + Linux system administrator + Scripting / Coding experience (Bash, Python, etc) **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** A deep expertise in one of the following areas and working knowledge of one or more of the other following: Operational support experience Kubernetes Ansible Helm charts Automation Virtualization technologies (VMware, virtual networking, vROPS, XenServer/XCP-ng) Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologies Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Ceph storage platform GitLab **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
