Job Description:\n

The Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Defensive Cyber Systems Branch (AFLCMC\/HNCD) serves as the program office for several defensive cyberspace weapon systems and capabilities, including Air Force (AF) Cyberspace Defense (ACD), Cyberspace Defense Analysis (CDA), Big Data Platform (BDP), and Cyber Vulnerability Assessment and Hunt (CVA\/H). As a customer-based team this position is Under direct supervision supporting the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) engineering, integration, and testing to C5ISR systems and other initiatives. Completion of analyses, system requirements are thoroughly examined to ensure alignment with project goals. The findings and analysis are documented in a Systems Support Requirements Document for Government stakeholders.\n

Responsibilities:\n

Systems Engineer duties include the following:\n\nAssisting in the management and maintenance of Deployable Interceptor Platform (DIP) Kits across multiple Squadrons.\nConducting Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) and diagnostics for the DIP Kits, ensuring their proper functioning.\nProviding support for various equipment used across Combat Operations Squadrons (COS).\nUtilizing a ticketing system to effectively manage and track incidents, requests, and tasks.\nSupporting the process of conducting PMIs and imaging\/cloning for Dell MIPs (Mobile Interceptor Platforms) and legacy equipment.\nUsing knowledge of trusted systems and computing environments to engineer, implement, manage, and maintain a multi-level security infrastructure.\nImplementing and supporting application packages on the network to ensure smooth operations.\nConducting systems analysis to gather data for technical documents and decision-making processes.\nAllocating and managing storage solutions on the network to optimize resource usage.\nMaintaining system backups and documentation to ensure data integrity and availability.\nSystem Upgrades: Planning, testing, and implementing upgrades for information systems to enhance performance and security.\nIntegrating new software applications into existing systems to improve functionality.\nManaging user access to ensure security and compliance with organizational policies.\nAssisting with virtualization efforts to optimize resource utilization and enhance system flexibility.\nConfiguring hardware components to meet system requirements and performance goals.\nEnsuring routers and firewalls are correctly configured and operational to maintain network security.\nResolving technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.\nRunning performance reports to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.\n\n

Required Skills \/ Experience:\n\nBA\/BS degree and up to 3 years relevant work experience (Associate's degree and 4 additional years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA\/BS degree). \nTop Secret \/ SCI clearance eligibility.\nEngages in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for C5ISR systems and related projects.\nHelps with engineering, integration, and testing.\nHelps with systematic analyses including situation, trade-off, problem, decision, risk, tactics, mission, and strategy analyses.\nIAT II Certification; Security + w\/CE\n\n

Desired Skills \/ Experience:\n\nBA\/BS and 3-10 years relevant work experience (Associate's degree and 4 additional years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA\/BS degree).\nAbility to perform all functional duties independently. \n\n
