Job Responsibilities  

Taking ownership of your own clients who transact business across borders 

Performing international tax research and planning for your own clients and other clients of the firm 

Working with foreign accounting firms in our international network with their clients who come to the U.S., and with your clients who do business abroad 

Mentoring younger professionals in our International Tax Group in technical and non-technical areas 

Assisting partners with new business opportunities and helping to bring awareness of our international tax capabilities to the SoCal market place 

Review your clients’ filings and assists in the review of international tax filings for clients of other groups within the firm 

Ability to recognize planning opportunities to add value to the engagement (for example, identify estate planning or transfer pricing opportunities) 

Responsible for the engagement economics (billings, collections and realization) and able to work with internal resources to follow up as necessary 

  

Requirements  

BA/BS degree in accounting and/or Masters degree in taxation 

CPA license or JD required 

Minimum 5 years recent US tax (domestic, inbound and outbound) experience; 

At least 2 years in a managerial role involving clients and team members 

Familiarity with both US domestic and international tax compliance forms for HNW individuals, passthrough entities and corporations 

Familiarity with international tax concepts, including but not limited to subpart F, GILTI, PFIC, foreign tax credit calculation, income tax treaty 

Professional work ethics and solid professional judgement 

Lead tax compliance and consulting engagements with minimal supervisions. 

Ability to deal with complexity. 

Broad domestic and international tax knowledge resulting in the ability to identify issues/potential issues requiring attention.  

Preferred Qualifications  

Ability to speak multiple languages 

Master’s Degree in Taxation or LLM with a leaning towards Taxation/International Taxation

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. Compensation Range for this position: $85,000 - $160,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
