Team Leader Bay 3 - Day Shift
Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The team leader, in addition to his/her assigned job, is responsible for building the capability of his/her team to deliver against the department masterplan through rigorous execution of work processes and standards. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + Perform all work in accordance with environmental, health, safety, food safety, and quality standards, legal compliance, rules, regulations and practices of the facility. + Drive Daily Management Systems to deliver improved results every shift, every day + Ensure any safety / quality / food safety behavior & condition issues are resolved quickly + Own team’s results + Drive effective operational reviews (shift hand-off, shiftly operations review) + Lead team meeting + Responsible for updating the visual board + Ensure team members are growing in capability + Work with the Line Leader on administration of people management systems (staffing, training, etc.) + Communication effectively with the team by ensuring the team is receiving the right information + Use problem solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve and/or mitigate operational issues Lead culture discussions (creed and values) Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: + High school diploma or GED. LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES: + Hold team accountable to execution to standards + Ensure all associates receive their allotted breaks and lunch periods while maintaining production run rate + Manage skills matrix for your team and ensure all associates have a training plan developed + Escalate issues that need further attention properly + Demonstrate the GSF Creed and Values LANGUAGE SKILLS: + High level of reading comprehension + Ability to write detailed correspondence and documentation + Ability to use effective problem solving skills MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: + Ability to use mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in accordance with production paperwork. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: + Ability to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing + Stand/walk 8 or more hours per day + Constantly twist/turn and talk/hear + Frequently squat, bend, reach, handle/finger, grip/grasp and use fine motor tasks + Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs from floor to shoulder level and carry 30 feet + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS: + Constantly work in damp, wet, humid and slippery environments + Constantly work near moving machinery + Constantly work in high noise levels requiring hearing protection MACHINES/TOOLS/EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE: + Bump cap, hair net, safety glasses, hearing protection, and smock. + Rubber and cotton gloves. + Knowledge of equipment on the production line you are responsible for + Ability to use computers/tablets including basic software such as Microsoft Word and Excel LocationUS-TX-Burleson Job ID 2024-19068
