Example of Duties: This position provides technical support to BCRE Boards and Bureau administration. + Oversee the purchasing program for the BCRE bureau: + + Order inspector equipment, tools, and clothing, evaluating for cost, quality, and to determine compliance and ensure items meet the needs of staff and the agency + Order necessary supplies for inspections, the office, maintain copy room/ supply area and garage + Negotiate for volume discounts, terms, shipping/deliver, etc. + Analyze trends in costs, consumption and overall durability for tools, equipment and supplies + Reconcile purchases, including related p-card transactions + BCRE vehicle program: Coordinate with inspectors and supervisors to ensure vehicle maintenance, repairs, and replacements are timely. Serve as liaison with Finance and Field staff for more than 80 fleet vehicles + Interpret a variety of complex guidelines, policies, and procedures for various specialized programs + Provide technical support for compliance/licensing/permitting, to include: + + Trade Licensing Applications (including evaluating applications for eligibility and completeness) + Compliance (collecting supplementary information for the Investigations and civil penalties) + Permit processing (reviewing permitting applications and responding to inquiries) + Assist EOs in writing newsletters for different associations/boards + Update BCRE documents, forms, templates, and webpage documents + Responsible for printer program: + + Track and stock supplies for printers + Work with vendors for maintenance and supplies + Prepare and maintain internal files/filing systems + Provide back-up administrative support for bureau leadership + Conduct basic data analysis, including financial and survey data Minimum Qualifications Experience: + Monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors + Interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, regulations, and complex policies for multiple or highly specialized programs + Analyzing information and researching a variety of sources to identify and resolve problems or issues + Dealing with individuals from varying cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in stressful situations + Entering and retrieving data using a computerized record system + Composing and proofreading business correspondence Preferred Qualifications Experience with the following: + Detail Oriented + Critical thinking skills + Microsoft word + Adobe + Excel + Publisher + Purchasing for an agency or company ($50,000 + per year) + Fleet management software Supplemental Information This position is open until filled.
