The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Agile Process Lead to join our organization and play a pivotal role in transforming our teams into high-performing, collaborative units. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent coaching and facilitation skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement. As an Agile Process Lead, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, leadership, and stakeholders to foster an agile mindset, enhance delivery processes, and optimize overall team performance.

Our Team

As an Agile Process Lead, you will lead and support a team of Scrum Masters in our organization, ensuring the successful implementation of Agile methodologies and practices. Your role will involve coaching and mentoring Scrum Masters, facilitating Agile processes, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. In addition to your supervisory responsibilities, you will leverage your experience to influence the Agile transformation across the organization.

Responsibilities

Strategic Agile Leadership:Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of Agile methodologies at an organizational level.Drive the Agile transformation strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.Engage with the entire organization system and the Leaders who guide them.Agile Process Management:Develop and implement Agile methodologies and best practices across the organization.Facilitate Agile training sessions for teams and stakeholders to promote understanding and adoption.Continuous Improvement Framework:Establish a robust continuous improvement framework for Agile processes.Implement advanced Agile practices, such as Lean and Kanban, to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.Organizational Change Management:Lead organizational change initiatives related to Agile adoption.Address resistance and facilitate a smooth transition to Agile methodologies.Team CollaborationWork closely with Agile teams, ensuring they follow Agile principles and practices.Provide practical hands-on mentoring to team members.Help teams set up their team boards, workflow automation, and automated reportingAssist organizations to define, prioritize, and decompose requirements in Product and Program Backlogs.Metrics and Reporting:Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure Agile successProvide regular reports and insights to leadership on the progress of Agile adoption such as Jira dashboards, Advanced Road map plansGenerate and analyze metrics to provide insights into project performance and areas for improvement.Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommendations.Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with executive leadership to foster a culture of agility throughout the organization.Provide regular updates on Agile transformation progress and its impact on business outcomes.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, keeping them informed about project progress and addressing concerns.Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to facilitate understanding.Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams, stakeholders, and leadershipWork closely with product and project managers to ensure alignment with Agile principlesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment with Agile principles.Coaching and Mentoring:Provide hands-on coaching to leadership teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners and others on Agile principles, values, and practicesMentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members in Agile rolesThe lead community of practice.Facilitation:Conduct Agile ceremonies, workshops, and retrospectives to facilitate collaboration and learning, such as Scrum of Scrums, Product Owner Syncs and any other cross functional/cross team collaborationsGuide teams in effective use of Agile tools and techniques; such as Atlassian Jira SoftwareFacilitate large events /open dialog sessions to enable agility.Lead Scrum teams into self-organizationContinuous Improvement:Identify and address impediments to Agile team progress and successCollaborate with teams to implement improvements based on feedback and metricsTraining and Development:Develop and deliver training programs to build Agile capabilities across the organizationStay informed about industry best practices and incorporate them into coaching strategiesDevelop Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master and Product Owner skills in team membersCoaching Senior Management on Agile Practices.Innovative Problem-Solving:Innovative approach to problem-solving and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of Agile practices.Ability to introduce and experiment with emerging Agile trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred8+ years in proven experience as an Agile Coach in a variety of environmentsAdvanced certifications in Agile methodologies are a plusDeep understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFeStrong coaching and facilitation skills with the ability to adapt to different team dynamicsAbility to think strategically and align Agile practices with overall business strategy.Strong decision-making skills with a focus on long-term goals.Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills at the C-Suite levelCertifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) are a plusExperience in software development or project managementExperience managing Scrum Masters and Product OwnersExperience with hands on Agile trainingAbility to adapt to a changing environmentSelf-motivationProficient with virtual collaboration tools, such as Microsoft TeamsProficient with Atlassian products, such as Jira Software and Confluence

Location

This role is hybrid and based in the Los Angeles office; 3 days a week in the office.

Compensation: The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $164,000 - $195,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
