HOW A TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST - INTERMEDIATEWILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Provides installation and operational support of voice and data communications hardware and software systems.  Designs, develops, implements, tests, debugs, and maintains communications systems.  Performs configuration of operating system and security patches for host and distributed systems, and implements incident response procedures during incidents of a network or host security breach.  Complies with prescribed customer, industry and agency standards.Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Network Engineering area of responsibilityCommunicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives effectivelyAbility to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.Act as lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project. Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of network development from analysis of mission needs to verification of network performance.Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:  Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experienceRequired Skillset:Mitigate risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated projectsReview and/or approve system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and completeEstablish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfacesCapture all interface designs in a common interface control format, and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository Clearance Level: TS/SCIRequired Certification(s):DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contractIAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalentComputing Env: MCSA Server 2016  (You can start with the first exam completed (70-740) and must obtain the full MCSA Server 2016 within 180 days from start date.)Desired Computing Environment certification: MCSA 2016/2019/Azure, Linux+, VCP-DCV 2020-2022, etc.​Location: On Customer SiteAdditional:Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contractPosition may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activityTravel may be required to support the mission
